Dakota Johnson, one of our least bothered celebrities, has once again turned out a street style ensemble that’s both unattainably fashionable and DGAF casual.
Don’t let the cotton or the black and white trick you: this outfit is Avril Lavigne-level Complicated. High-waisted pants with a raw hem not just at the bottom but also the top…and the sides? A white ribbed tank that appears to have been cut with kitchen scissors but was probably crafted in a downtown loft and sold for $300. An oversized cream button-up that’s downright brave to wear to a party where there will be mess monsters, a.k.a. kids (more on that in a sec). Shoes that take the ballet flat trend a step further and are just…mesh? And most puzzlingly, she got to-go coffee from two different coffee places?? I spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to figure out where these two cups could both be from and came up with nothing.
A statement ring, pearl earrings and sunglasses complete the ‘fit, with Johnson’s hair styled in her typical straight-with-bangs look.
According to Backgrid, Dakota Johnson was in Los Angeles attending the birthday party of Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin’s daughter Ezer Billie. The party was Halloween-themed and apparently Johnson is godmother to Ezer and the estranged couple’s younger daughter, Dolores Wild. Per their reporting, the Fifty Shades of Grey star “brought a mini pink SUV as a gift which made everyone laugh during the festive day of fun!” Assuming it’s in her purse.
In honor of Ezer’s birthday, Timlin wrote on Instagram, “Today you turn 5 and my world feels totally tilted on its axis. I am bewildered and in a merciless chokehold of the mystical space/time continuum…Happy birthday my sweet Ezer Billie. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you,” and White commented, “Sweetest girl in the world.” Cute!
