2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance Pricing Revealed

Revealed over a year ago, Mercedes-Benz of America has finally released pricing for the new 2024 C63 S E Performance, the latest in a long line of C-Class AMG sedans. Two trim levels will be offered, a base model and the Pinnacle trim, with buyers expected to cough up more than $80,000 to get behind the wheel. The range kicks off at $83,900 for the base offering.

It is comprehensively equipped and ships standard with the Burmester 3D Surround Sound system (with music streaming and sound personalization), 64-color ambient lighting, a Nappa leather-trimmed AMG Performance Steering Wheel, rear axle steering, AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping, and the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system with Drift Mode. A panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and an Individualization Package with mini-games and configurable digital displays are also part of the standard package.

Well-Equipped, With Plenty Of Options To Choose From

At $85,950, the Pinnacle isn’t much more expensive and includes an AMG head-up display, digital lights, and augmented video for satellite navigation. Inside, the C63 S E Performance is treated to heated (front) AMG sports seats with MB-Tex/microfiber upholstery, but customers can specify Nappa leather as an option.

As you’d expect from AMG, the exterior is very customizable. There are seven body colors, four 20-inch wheel designs, and numerous exterior design packages to choose from. Aside from the familiar AMG Night Package, AMG Night Package Plus, AMG Carbon Fiber Package, and AMG Carbon Fiber Package II, buyers can opt for the AMG Performance Design Package. This adds forged 20-inch wheels, red-painted brake calipers, and more aggressive styling touches, such as a rear diffuser blade and side skirt inlets. The top speed is also increased when this package is selected.

Will Buyers Pay More Than $80,000 For A Four-Cylinder?

While the pricing is on par with that of rivals from BMW, Audi, and Cadillac, it remains to be seen whether AMG fans are willing to spend this much money on a four-cylinder. What Mercedes-AMG engineers have achieved with this powertrain is incredible, but customers shopping in this segment prefer a larger capacity engine with at least six cylinders.

But can the AMG win them over? If any four-pot can do so, it’s this one. The electrified 2.0-liter produces a combined total of 671 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.3 seconds – faster than the outgoing V8. This surfeit of power and torque comes from the 201-hp two-speed electric motor found on the rear axle. Reports suggest the C63 replacement will be fully electric, so we have to treasure the latest C63 while we have it.

All C63 S E Performance pricing listed here excludes Mercedes’ delivery charge. We expect pricing for the available options and packages to be shared later, closer to its arrival at US dealerships in the spring.
