Russian media reports that a “boom” occurred across IVF clinics where women are lining up and waiting for hours to have his sperm and get pregnant.

Medical clinics say there has been an “excitement” among the women about Durov’s “high-quality material” after they were told all his kids start to read by the age of one and a half.

Some are even said to have paid bribes to get his quality semen.

Newspaper Mash wrote: “Potential mothers stand in lines for hours to find the right profile and even offer bribes for exactly his sperm.

“All the appointments are for him.

“Ladies are rushing to look for data that could belong to the creator of Telegram.

“They compare Durov’s answers in interviews and choose the most similar candidates [among donors].”

Pictures have emerged to show Durov’s biological profile used for sperm donation.

An IVF clinic confirmed to Russian news outlet E1 that Durov’s sperm had been stored – and cost around £315.

They added the rate is much higher for foreign nationals.

Durov, 39, recently boasted has fathered more than 100 children as a sperm donor.

In a Telegram post, he wrote: “I was just told that I have over 100 biological kids.

“My past donating activity has helped over a hundred couples in 12 countries to have kids.”

The tech billionaire explained he signed up for sperm donation 15 years ago when one pal approached him with a “weird request”.

He said: “He and his wife couldn’t have kids due to a fertility issue and asked me to donate sperm at a clinic for them to have a baby.”

Since then, Durov claims to have helped more than 100 couples with fertility issues to have babies.

He said he felt like donating sperm was one of his “civic duties”.

The tech mogul added: “The shortage of healthy sperm has become an increasingly serious issue worldwide, and I’m proud that I did my part to help alleviate it.

“I also want to help destigmatize the whole notion of sperm donation and incentivise more healthy men to do it.”

Who is Pavel Durov?

PAVEL Durov is a well-known Emirati entrepreneur of Russian descent who founded the apps Telegram and VK.

Forbes named him the wealthiest foreigner in the United Arab Emirates in 2022.

His estimated net worth was valued at £13.6 billion.

Along with his brother Nikolai, the software entrepreneur cofounded the encrypted messaging platform Telegram in 2013.

Before Telegram, Durov was known as Russia’s Mark Zuckerberg for founding a Russian version of Facebook, called VK.

However, he got in trouble for turning down requests from the Kremlin to view the VK profiles of prominent Ukrainian demonstrators.

In 2014, a SWAT team showed up at Durov’s house, forcing him to flee Moscow, the Times reported.

In August 2021, Durov obtained French citizenship and presently holds EU citizenship.

Durov revealed that one Russian clinic still has his frozen sperm available for anonymous use by families who want to have kids.

He said he plans to open-source his DNA so that his “biological children can find each other more easily”.

Durov was forced to leave Russia following Vladimir Putin‘s illegal invasion of Crimea and the Ukrainian Donbas region in 2014.

The so-called Russian Mark Zuckerberg rejected Moscow‘s “unlawful” demands to hand over personal data from VK of pro-Ukrainian protesters.

He was effectively ousted from this major social media platform which was taken over by pro-Putin factions.

Durov currently resides in the United Arab Emirates and still owns Telegram, which is worth a staggering £23.5billion.

It is understood he doesn’t hold a Russian passport anymore.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk also took a dig at Durov after he revealed he has fathered 100 children.

He jokingly wrote: “Rookie numbers lmao – Genghis Khan.”

Durov isn’t the only billionaire contributing to the re-population of the world.

Tesla boss Elon Musk has fathered 12 children of his own.

Musk has said that he is happy to have several children and believes that it is how he can do his part to counter the purported worldwide depopulation issue.

He posted on X, previously, Twitter: “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis.

“A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”

But Musk’s claim has been debunked by scientists several times who say the global population is not decreasing.

The UN expects the world population to surpass 10 billion people by 2100.

Can you donate sperm in the UK?

AROUND 2,000 children every year are conceived with the help of a donor in the UK.

To become a sperm donor you need to be:

Between the ages of 18 and 45
Generally healthy and have no serious medical conditions

NHS says it accepts both men who have had their own children and men who have not.

Donated sperm cannot be used to create more than 10 families, with no limits on the number of children born within each family.

Licensed clinics cannot pay donors more than £35 for a donation, but, while private donations are unregulated, it is not illegal for a recipient to pay a donor outside of the clinical setting.

If you donate your sperm through a fertility clinic or a sperm bank, you won’t have any responsibilities or rights towards a child conceived using your semen.

However, children conceived through sperm donation do have the right to ask for certain information about their donor once they reach the age of 16.

You can find the clinic that is best for you through the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) licensed clinic.
