Cardi B is going to be a mother again!
The singer confirmed that the ‘I Like It’ rapper is pregnant and expecting her third baby, as per a social media post shared on Thursday, August 1.
The news was shared via an Instagram post, along with a caption that read, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power. It reminded me that I can have it all! You reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, and what you pushed me to do!
She concluded the post by sharing gratitude for her siblings and wrote, “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and tests laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
The pregnancy announcement came one day after she filed a divorce from her estranged husband and rapper, Offset. While none of them confirmed the exact reason for divorce, one of their representatives stated, “It’s not based on cheating rumours, but rather has been a long time coming.”

A news outlet revealed that the rapper, Cardi B is seeking joint custody of their children, son, Wave Set, 2, and Kulture Kiari, 6. Meanwhile, the divorce filing has not been made available to the media yet. The filing was not made available at press time.
In December, Cardi and Migos spent time together on New Year’s Eve. Offset directed her March Video for Like What (Freestyle).
She said at the time, “Because we do love each other. It’s not even about love. We’re best friends. And it’s like, ‘OK. Well, there was a time that I didn’t have a best friend, or I didn’t have a support system.’ It’s not even about ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?”
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Cardi B opened up about how she’s been balancing her motherhood by finishing her next album. She admits that she is currently trying to look like a nanny and a proud mom, and is leaning on her parents for support; however, she is worried about too much pressure on them.
The rapper has previously opened up about how grateful she is for having a close-knit family.
In an interview in 2022, the musician said, “It’s a blessing to be able to have them all together and to have a wife who’s open and treats them as if they’re her kids. It could be an issue, but I don’t have to go through that, and that’s beautiful.”
