A third woman has been arrested in connection with brothel keeping and human trafficking in Renfrewshire.
The 37-year-old suspect has also been charged with serious and organised crime offences.
The woman’s arrest on Monday comes amid a major Police Scotland inquiry into alleged criminal activity at premises in the Abercorn Street area of Paisley.
Two women, aged 38 and 44, were charged with similar offences last week following a joint operation with the Home Office’s immigration enforcement team which focused on three addresses in the town.
All three women are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday 24 October.
Detective Sergeant Jason Buxton said: “We will use all means available to apprehend and bring to justice individuals responsible for these types of crimes.
“Our main priority is to ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of vulnerable people affected and at risk by this type of exploitation.
“Those who benefit from this type of criminality will have nowhere to hide.”

DS Buxton urged anyone with concerns to contact Police Scotland or Crimestoppers.
He added: “With our partners, we will endeavour to make Renfrewshire and Inverclyde a hostile environment for any criminal activity and continue to strive to ensure it’s a safe place for all.
“Information from people within our communities remains key to helping us identify those involved.”
