American Horror Stories Season 4: X Cast & Character Guide

Just in time for Halloween 2024, American Horror Stories season 4, episode 3, “X,” delivers scares, twisted stories, terrifying characters, and more, and includes a talented and notable cast. The FX on Hulu horror anthology TV show created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk serves as a spinoff/continuation of the highly successful series American Horror Story. Each episode of American Horror Stories tells a different story, ranging from an installment about a film that makes its audience kill each other to one about an evil AI assistant. Overall, the show has a wide variety of horrific plots.

As for American Horror Stories season 4, episode 3, “X,” the installment revolves around a hospital patient who escapes and a nurse who consequently unravels a dark secret in the medical center. As for the 2024 episode’s cast, “X” features plenty of talented stars. Of course, its most notable is Henry Winkler of Happy Days fame, but the American Horror Stories installment also contains many other impressive actors and actresses.

Actress: Mia Isaac was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended Midtown High School. According to an interview with Atlanta Magazine, Isaac started acting in plays when she was 10 years old. However, she soon jumped to the screen and landed roles in films such as Not Okay (which also stars Zoey Deutch and Dylan O’Brien) and Don’t Make Me Go, acting opposite John Cho. Isaac’s breakout role was as Coventina “Covey” Lyncook in the drama series Black Cake on Hulu.

Actor: Dyllón Burnside was born in Miami, Florida, and got his start in the entertainment business when he was 12 years old. Burnside was the lead singer of 3D, a hip-hop/R&B boy band, for 10 years before he decided to quit to explore other avenues. He graduated from The New School in New York City with a bachelor’s degree in media studies and writing, and Burnside began performing in theater. The actor saw massive success on the stage, but Burnside’s breakthrough on the screen came when he starred as Ricky Evangelista in Pose on FX.

Character: Dyllón Burnside stars as Malcolm in the first black-and-white episode of American Horror Stories. Malcolm is the hospital’s security guard who gets wrapped up in the eerie mystery while helping Claire. Aside from being a security guard, viewers also learn in “X” that Malcolm is a wannabe writer.

Jennifer Ferrin As Lilly Mulling

Date Of Birth: February 25, 1979

Actress: Jennifer Ferrin was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta. After high school, Ferrin received a bachelor’s degree in drama from the North Carolina School of the Arts and kickstarted her acting career. Ferrin had small guest roles in a couple of TV shows at the start, but Ferrin got her big break when she starred as Jennifer Munson Donovan in 264 episodes of As the World Turns, a CBS soap opera. Some may better recognize Ferrin from her role as Mrs. Beasley, one of the Bloody Rose suspects in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.

Actress: Unfortunately, not much is known about Kate Eastman’s youth and how she came to be an actress. Nevertheless, her first acting role is listed as playing a pregnant woman in an episode of the third season of Blue Bloods in 2013. Eastman, who is also a writer, is most known for playing Tamara Stefano in Archive 81, though.

Character: Although Kate Eastman’s American Horror Stories character, Anna Henley, doesn’t appear much in “X,” her role is important. The audience meets Anna at the beginning of the episode. Anna’s son has cancer, and she can’t afford to pay for his treatment. However, Dr. Nostrum comes to the rescue and adds the young boy to the Springhill Program, which will cover the family’s funds.

Henry Winkler As Dr. Eric Nostrum

Actor: Henry Winkler was born in Manhattan, New York City. After graduating from high school, Winkler attended Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his bachelor’s degree in theater. Later that year, Winkler was admitted to the Yale School of Drama, where he performed in various productions and graduated with his Master of Fine Arts in 1970. Winkler continued acting on the stage, but he started taking an interest in TV shows and movies. One of Winkler’s first auditions when moving to Los Angeles was for Fonzie in Happy Days, the role that made Winkler a TV star.
