Travis Kelce Says He ‘Didn’t Do Nothing’ During Bye Week With Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been partying up a storm in New York for the past week or two — but the Kansas City Chiefs star has joked that he “didn’t do nothing” during the team’s bye week.

In a very funny video posted to the Chiefs’ official TikTok channel, Kelce and his teammates were quizzed about how they spent their time off. Uncharacteristically for the New Heights podcast cohost, Kelce was a man of few words — but he did display a knowing smirk.

The truth is, the whole world knows exactly how Kelce spent bye week — he was enjoying quality time with Swift!

After the Chiefs’ home win against New Orleans Saints on October 8, the couple flew to New York for an action-packed few days and were photographed together on multiple occasions, and in a variety of eye-catching outfits.

First, they were seen going on a double date with Swift’s good friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds to The Corner Store restaurant in Soho. The following night, they were out for dinner again, this time to an Italian restaurant, Torrisi. And then, finally, the couple enjoyed a few PDAs as they attended a Yankees playoff game with a group of friends.

The time off together was well-deserved since, for the duration of their relationship — they went public in September 2023 — Swift has largely been consumed by the international legs of the Eras tour, while Kelce’s job sees him traveling around the country from week to week. And this weekend their hectic careers start up again with the busy couple scheduled to be thousands of miles apart once more. Swift is in Miami, Florida, where the Eras tour starts up again tonight (October 18) while Kelce will be on his way to San Francisco for a Chiefs away game against the 49ers on Sunday, October 20.

Followers of the Chiefs on TikTok have hilariously commented that Kelce’s blunt response reminds them of when their kids tell them how boring school was. “Travis is my kids when I ask them what they did at school all day,” said one fan, while another joked, “Trav is like you already saw what I did on social media!”.

Some of Kelce’s teammates were a little more forthcoming about what they’ve been up to during bye week. Derrick Nnadi said he had been to a renaissance fair and Malik Herring showed off a cute photo of some of his adventures with his young son. Ramzee Robinson, meanwhile, claimed that he had just slept, bathed and meditated because “self-care is important”.
