Nigel Farage shares video of Mada Passa crossing English Channel

The migrant who shared a death threat against Nigel Farage via TikTok has been detained in the UK, having successfully crossed the English Channel, the Reform UK leader has claimed.

And the Met Police have confirmed that immigration officials have taken a man into custody at Dover – although they have not officially confirmed his identity.

Mada Pasa, who sports a Kalashnikov tattoo on his face, is thought to have left France on Wednesday night, and, posting on X, Mr Farage last night said the Afghan national has been now been stopped.

Pasa, in an apparent taunt for both the British and French authorities, broadcast his journey live on social media.

He subsequently posted a video from the middle of the Channel, with a French patrol vessel following the dinghy carrying dozens of migrants.

Pasa had been living in Stockholm, Sweden, before heading to France.

In a post on X on Thursday night, Mr Farage said: “Mada Pasa, the migrant who has threatened to kill me, has now crossed the English Channel according to this video.

“Is this the kind of man we really want in Britain?”

He later added: “I am pleased that this individual has now been detained, but appalled that a migrant who threatened to kill me was escorted into British waters by the French Navy.”

Earlier on his GB News show, the Reform UK leader and MP for Clacton said: “That is a genuine video of him in a migrant boat with 50 or 60 other people. And you could see at the beginning of that shot, the French naval vessel.

“Yes, that’s right, the French Navy this morning have been escorting somebody across to our 12 mile line who threatened to kill a British member of parliament.

“After the 500 million quid we paid them, you would have thought they might just be able to do better than that.”

He continued: “I’ve asked the Home Office, the police, is it true that he’s arrived? Have you taken him into custody? Is he being questioned? I haven’t even had the courtesy of an answer from the Home Office.

“I guess my real concern is unless he has been taken away and put behind a locked door, he will simply abscond.

“But here’s the worst part, because originally he comes from Afghanistan, we will not send him back to Afghanistan, because we don’t deem that to be a safe country. Even though Germany are now sending planes back to Afghanistan.

“It could be if he has permanently leave to remain in Sweden that they’ll take him. I don’t know.

“I’m struck that he’s here. He’ll be here for a very long time, and possibly cost us a huge amount of money.”

Pasa has posted numerous clips on TikTok, garnering millions of views.

The videos showed the would-be Channel migrant, with a Kalashnikov tattoo on his face, posing with women on his lap and pretending to fire guns.

In one, he and friends and shown partying in what appears to be a makeshift camp, awaiting a boat to the UK.

Mr Farage has previously criticised some of Pasa’s videos, saying: “The guys name is Mada Pasa, he has been living in Stockholm, he clearly wants to be a big star on TikTok, he wants to become an influencer. Perhaps he thinks his chances are better coming to the United Kingdom and doing it here.”

In an angry video shot in response, Pasa said: “English man Nigel. Don’t talk s**t about me. You not know me.

“I come to England because I want to be married with your sister.

“Don’t talk about me more. Delete the video. It is not good my friend, you do not know me. I am going to come to England…”

He then makes a hand gesture and says “pop, pop, pop,” before butting the camera and also aiming his gun tattoo at the camera.

Home Office figures suggest 564 people arrived in 12 boats on Wednesday, bringing the provisional total for the year so far to 30,431 – more than the whole of 2023.

A Met Police spokesman said: “On Friday, October 18, we received a report of malicious communications and threats to kill towards an MP in relation to a video posted on social media. Detectives have been investigating and enquiries remain ongoing.

“We are aware that a man has today October 31 been detained for immigration offences in Dover.

“We are closely liaising with partners from Border Force. The Met takes the safety and security of MPs extremely seriously and we are committed to ensuring that they, their families and staff can go about their work and lives without feeling unsafe or intimidated.

“As part of Operation Bridger, the national policing operation that co-ordinates protective security advice, we work closely with the Parliamentary authorities, local forces and the Cabinet Office in ensuring that the appropriate security measures are in place for all MPs.”
