Frustrating loss especially with the late foul call and Giannis settling at the end. Can’t say I expected a whole lot more in terms of competitiveness given the guard injuries being what they are. Wasted big offensive games from Prince, Bobby, Andre and those late plays from Pat. – 5:42 PM

Man, that’s a tough one against Giannis Antetokounmpo.
They whistle him for a foul as Ball was driving to the rim. Ball to the line for two. – 5:23 PM

Two HUGE plays by Pat Connaughton.
Hits the triple when they double Giannis Antetokounmpo multiple times. And then finger rolls it on the empty side DHO with Antetokounmpo.
Bucks up, 114-113, with 19.1 seconds left. – 5:20 PM

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a home crowd pop like that for a road player in a tight game.
The Charlotte crowd went crazy on that Giannis Antetokounmpo dunk in traffic. – 5:17 PM

“Charles Lee forced to call timeout after B2B Andre Jackson threes” was not how I expected the Bucks to finally get a deadball to sub Giannis back in…but I’ll take it! Shoot the ball young fella – 5:04 PM

More on this storyline

Rod Boone: Spoke with crew chief Curtis Blair. He said afterwards, they reviewed play and foul should NOT have been called on Giannis Antetokounmpo. “During live play we called illegal leg to leg to contact. During postgame review when we looked at the play there was no illegal contact on the play.” -via Twitter @rodboone / November 17, 2024
The Bucks lost 115-114 to the Charlotte Hornets after a controversial foul call on Giannis Antetokounmpo sent Hornets star LaMelo Ball to the free-throw line with 7.3 seconds remaining. Though Ball appeared to trip over his own feet on a drive, Antetokounmpo was whistled for impeding Ball’s progress. Ball sunk the go-ahead free throws to give Charlotte the lead and eventually drop the Bucks to 4-9 on the season when Antetokounmpo missed a mid-range jumper on the Bucks’ final possession. “There was clearly not a foul,” Bucks coach Doc Rivers said. “When you watch the video, the ref was blocked out by one of our players. You can’t guess at the end of the game. Both teams have played too hard.” -via New York Times / November 16, 2024
