The third biggest National Lottery winner of all time is still yet to claim their £177 million after the wrong winning numbers were accidentally sent out.
Euromillions are urging people to recheck their tickets due to the error.
The lucky person who could claim this money has not yet come forward – if you put the Euromillions on, it could be you, so check now.
The Mirror reports that there was confusion after the winning numbers were misreported, with an extra number added to the winning line-up.
The winning numbers from Tuesday’s prize draw are 07, 11, 25, 31 and 40, with Lucky Stars 09, 12.
The lucky winner of Tuesday’s draw will instantly become wealthier than former One Direction singer Harry Styles and heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua – both worth £175 million, according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List.
The winner will become the proud owner of the third-biggest lotto fortune the UK has ever seen, just behind Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, who scooped a then record-breaking £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket for the draw on May 10, 2022.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, operator of the National Lottery, said: “Wow, it has been a truly incredible night for a single UK ticket-holder who has scooped tonight’s jaw-dropping £177m EuroMillions jackpot!
“The win has landed them a spot on the National Lottery’s Rich List, as they have become the third biggest National Lottery winner of all time!
“What a wonderful win right before Christmas, and we cannot wait to pay out this amazing prize.”
The error in the reported winning numbers appears to have been made by the Press Association, which has since sent out a correction.
On July 19 2022, an anonymous UK ticket-holder scooped the record EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million – the most significant National Lottery win of all time.
