The thrilling drama series Fire Country is getting a spinoff, and there are already a ton of exciting updates about the recently announced Sheriff Country. Debuting in late 2022, Fire Country follows prisoner Bode Donovan who joins an unorthodox early-release program that allows him to volunteer as a firefighter in Northern California and work with trained experts to battle massive blazes. Despite only garnering a paltry 50% Rotten Tomatoes critic score, and an even less impressive 45% audience score, Fire Country season 1 did good business for CBS and the network quickly renewed it for season 2. While the full cast of the spinoff is still unknown, the latest news confirms that a Fire Country character will appear in Sheriff Country. The update came courtesy of Fire Country star Diane Farr, who expressed her enthusiasm for exploring the relationship between her character, Sharon, and her step-sister Mickey (played by Morena Baccarin). Farr’s latest comments also confirm that Sharon will appear in Sheriff Country, though its unclear exactly how the sisters’ contentious relationship will factor into the spinoff.
