THIS football-pitch sized mega mansion near Houston was abandoned for years with no buyers interested – until the property was given a new lease of life.
The sprawling 60,000 square foot home had 55 bedrooms and bathrooms, but was left unoccupied after its construction in 2001.

With nine garages, a spa, indoor pool and elevator, the property had been built intended to be used for a live-in rehab facility by the doctor who built it.
But those plans never came to fruition, leaving the giant Texan property left sitting unused for nearly two decades.
Mona Miller worked for the realty team who ultimately sold the property, and previously: “We used to get a hundred calls a month, but now it’s down to about 25.”
Despite realtors showing the property multiple times a month to interested buyers, nobody opted for the property until one buyer decided to make a big change.
Rather than use the mansion as a personal home, the buyer has turned the property into commercial offices.
The lush green grass which used to surround the property has now been paved over with hundreds of parking spots.
Advertised online by Bulldog Funding, the open floor plan office spaces have stunning 14foot finished ceilings.
It also seems that a man made lake has been installed around the property, adding a bit of nature to the now-commercialised area.
Real Estate offices and insurance companies have already opted to move into the former mansion and base operations there.
On their website, the realtors describe the office space as having “ample parking available on-site, featuring around 200 available spots” and a whopping 2,400 square feet of offices available on some floors.
Viewers of the sprawling property were amazed that the mansion had been left unused for so long.
One commented: “What a shame to have this place sitting empty.”
Another said: “I would have all of my friends and family over for pure relaxation! Awesome!”
One abandoned mansion left to rot hit the market for a whopping £22.5million – and you could have some famous neighbours.
The Compton Avenue property is nestled in a prime location within the north-west of the capital, and is just a stone’s throw from popular nature spot Hampstead Heath.
Stars such as Liam Gallagher, Ricky Gervais and other famous faces make up an elite group of residents in the swanky area.
