One has to wonder though, how long will Philly keep any of Morris Sr., Batum, Covington, Martin, or the draft picks? Daryl Morey has always hinted that he will flip assets for an impact player to help the Sixers win now. – 3:23 AM

Nic Batum: a career 36.5% shooter from deep and is a solid role player
Marcus Morris Sr.: another player who brings an edge and toughness. A 37.6% shooter from deep for his career.
Robert Covington: Sixers fans are familiar
KJ Martin: supremely athletic, solid defender – 3:22 AM

Okay my guess on Clippers/OKC, just putting it out there in case I’m right… OKC trades back the 2024 LAC 1st they already own (gets routed to PHI), but they get a not-very protected 2030 LAC 1st – 3:19 AM

I bought Clippers season tix in ‘04 to see the other 29 teams. It’s been 2 decades of shitty luck, cruel injuries, stupid moves, scarred fans and ghastly playoff collapses, plus the Sterling abyss, and lately, load management galore. And tonight, Harden. Like THIS is gonna work. – 3:13 AM

Los Angeles Clippers now have James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.
Figure they’ll start those four with Ivica Zubac and have Norman Powell, Bones Hyland, Mason Plumlee, Terance Mann and P.J. Tucker off bench.

At this moment I think the Nuggets, Suns and Warriors all have more championship equity in the West than the Clippers do.
I’ll reserve judgment on the Lakers until they make their inevitable deadline trade and the Grizzlies until they’re whole again. – 3:00 AM

What do the Clippers even have to reroute to a third team for another first-round pick if they’re keeping Mann? – 2:52 AM
Andrew Greif
@AndrewGreif
The first-round pick the Clippers are including in the Harden trade is LAC’s unprotected first in 2028, per source.
Clippers also sending two second-round picks, a swap, and a pick from another team (the details of which aren’t yet known). – 2:50 AM

Clippers are also expected to receive Filip Petrušev in deal.
2028 unprotected 1st will go to Philadelphia, along with two 2nd round picks and a pick swap.
Terms are still being ironed out on those picks, there will be more to follow. – 2:50 AM

I would assume that the 76ers will be open to trading Robert Covington and Nic Batum at the deadline so long as they don’t take back any long-term money. I think both of them could really help contenders, if the Sixers don’t see themselves as such. – 2:49 AM
Adrian Wojnarowski

Pacers own the less favorable of Clippers/Rockets/Jazz/Thunder first round pick in 2024 draft. They are quite interested in the success (or lack thereof) of the new-look Clippers. – 2:33 AM
