After a week of major changes within the organization, the Las Vegas Raiders welcomed the New York Giants for their Week 9 matchup.

Somehow, with the Raiders coming into the game on a short week, with a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator and a rookie quarterback under center, the Giants were still underdogs coming into the game.

The game was never really close and the Giants were embarrassed again, which is becoming all too common this season.

To make matters worse, quarterback Daniel Jones left the game with a non-contact knee injury that may have sidelined him for an extended amount of time.

Here’s how X, formerly known as Twitter, reacted to the loss.

This is the fourth game the #Giants have trailed by 20 or more in the first half and it’s only Week 9.
They’ve had so many nightmare seasons in the last decade that it’s hard to pinpoint where this one lands but this might be the darkest.

Forget about the whole Daniel Jones situation, the defense looks like it quit. Absolutely no pride in this team and that’s the most embarrassing aspect of all of this. https://t.co/eI3F1vizAB

It really is hard to quantify how far the @Giants have fallen. A playoff team that won a playoff game a year ago, every decision they made this off season hasn’t paid off and they may be the worst team in football right now

— trey wingo (@wingoz) November 5, 2023

In my 29 years of being a Giant fan this is the worst team they have trotted out

— Marshall Green (@MarshallGreen_) November 5, 2023

I wonder what excuse is Daboll going to give for this team not looking prepared for this game. Granted I get the Jones injury but he wasn’t playing defense. And if you know Devito is not a Qb you can win with why Matt Barkley wasn’t activated instead.

After some fun last season the Giants have returned to the land of the pathetic.

I cannot believe what has become of the Giants. It’s like last year never happened. They’re right back to the drawing board. Guessing Mara will let Schoen & Daboll draft their own QB in April, let him sit behind a recovered Daniel Jones next year, then start the kid in 2025.

In case there was any hope or doubt remaining, that’s officially a wrap on the 2023 season

The giants are headed for a top 3 pick

It’s time. #NYGiants

The #Giants are going to wind up being in the mix for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye. That’s the silver lining if you’re a New York fan. But, this roster is a mess. They just aren’t competitive …

Is Daboll going to be the coach next season? I doubt giants fire him after this year but changes need to be made

— Tova (@thats_so_Rabin6) November 5, 2023

It sure feels like watching the team with No. 1 or No. 2 pick in 2024 NFL Draft. #Giants

We’re still two weeks away from the Giants bye week.
