This pretty village is home to one of the most famous filming locations thanks to its prominence in the popular Christmas movie The Holiday.Hundreds of people flood to see the backdrops to key scenes from The Holiday during the festive period, with numerous villages and towns in Surrey used in the 2006 film.

But one particular home that captured viewers was Graham’s (Jude Law) that was located in the picturesque village of Wonersh. Mill House, a Grade II listed building, was used as the filming location for the scene where Amanda (Cameron Diaz) visited Graham and met his two daughters.

Though the house appeared to be a sweet cottage with old fashioned features in the film, it now resembles something completely different.

The property, that was once a Water Mill in the village, has been completely renovated after being left derelict for years. Described as a home where “English industrial history and character meets 21st century solutions”, it now features modern interior complete with a swimming pool and spa.

It is currently on the market with Savills for an asking price of £5,950,000, the three-storey property looks very different to how it did in the film.

The home is located on the outskirts of Wonersh, a sweet village with a beautiful high street. It features a pub – The Grantley Arms – that serves home cooked food and drinks all week round. There is also a village shop to pick up something to takeaway or stock up on some local goods.

The village is also rich in history, with the distinctive shelter (named the Pepperpot) standing in the middle of the main junction. Built from beams and tiles from Wonersh Park mansion, it’s served as a central point since the 20th century.

It’s not the first time the village has been used for filming, with the TV series Foyle’s War being filmed at the nearby St John’s Seminary.

In 2011, it made The Telegraph’s list of “Britain’s richest villages” based on the property prices, with numerous homes selling for over £1million.

For those looking to get a glimpse of Graham’s (Jude Law) house, it will be hard with the property having a long, private driveway and gated entrance.

It’s also fairly unrecognisable now, while Rosehill Cottage – actually named Honeysuckle Cottage – can still be seen from afar. The famous cottage was once listed on Airbnb, but it is now under private occupancy.

The small Surrey towns of Godalming and Shere were also used as filming locations for the film, being the main base for Amanda’s (Cameron Diaz) shopping scenes.
