A BRITISH holidaymaker has vanished in Thailand with friends and family now launching a desperate bid to find him.

Simon Robinson, 27, was due to fly home on July 26 – but never arrived.

His phone last pinged in Bangkok but it’s believed he disappeared just five minutes before reaching the airport.

Distraught friends and family say they have spoken to the British Embassy in Bangkok, but there has been no progress in finding him so far.

Now they have turned to social media in the hope increased publicity helps find their pal from Skegness, Lincolnshire.

Simon’s friend Sam Champ posted: “One of my dear friends has gone missing in Bangkok, he hasn’t been heard from since the 26th of July.

“He was supposed to board a flight that day and he didn’t show up. It was his 27th birthday yesterday and everyone is growing very concerned.

“He has been reported as a missing person.

“I’ve attached a picture of him, his name is Simon Robinson and he’s from Lincolnshire.

“If anyone could share this post onward to anyone in Bangkok or Thailand I’d be so grateful.”

Simon jetted off to the popular Asian holiday spot on July 22 and was originally supposed to fly home August 3, according to the Lincolnnite.

He brought his flight home forward to July 26 but never boarded the plane.

The Foreign Office has been contacted for comment.

It comes after Australian holidaymaker Kieran James Cramer, 28, also vanished in Thailand in July.

He was eventually found in Bangkok but mystery still surrounds the disappearance.
